So, i received a chain letter.I hate chain letters.
Some chain letters that i receive bring good intentions with its contents such as extracts from hadith's,good advices, and dua's.Alhamdulillah at least i know that there are some individuals out there who want to do da'wah by sending these messages and may Allah swt reward their efforts.
Then.. comes the THREAT.In the message, they include things like " if you forward this to 9 people, something good will happen to you in 1 hour" and "if you dont, you will receive bad luck for the next 6 years". NOW, HOLD ON. How did this person know that the recipient will get bad or good luck.Only Allah knows for sure the fate of a person and not by forwarding or ignoring a message.
There are also threats like "why cant you sacrifice 1 minute of your time or 5 cents for the 'benefits' of this message". Ok. Now the recipient gets scared and feels guilty so he forwards the message. Can you imagine the number of people living with unnecessary guilt thinking of the 'bad luck' that's about to get them?
Please. Doing da'wah has to come from the heart and be done sincerely. It is our duty as muslims to convey the truth and share whatever knowledge we know and not by using threats. We can only convey but not convert. We did our part and Inshaallah Allah rewards us.But, to have someone benefit from our da'wah is far beyond our reach as Allah decides who he guides as he is the all knowing.
Allah the Almighty stated:
"Verily, you (O Muhammad) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided."
(28:56)
Inshaallah this has benefited you.
Assalamualaikum.
